I am a Cornwall-based artist who specializes in oil painting to create landscape paintings inspired by the scenery of Cornwall.
 
I prefer to use a palette knife to apply paint to my canvases as it allows me to create paintings that are more vibrant and rich in colour. This technique helps me achieve a high level of colour purity that is hard to replicate with traditional brushwork. Blending these colours together allows me to create depth and dimension in my paintings while also paying attention to detail. My aim is to capture the essence of realism but introduce subtle departures from reality, just enough to inspire thought.

These pieces are all inspired by the landscape of West Cornwall, which I am fortunate to call my home. From the rugged coastline and majestic cliffs to the windswept moorland and tranquil sandy beaches, my art reflects the natural beauty and charm of this region. Additionally, I draw inspiration from the small fishing boats and picturesque harbours that are abundant in my local area.
